Many Hats Theatre presents
The Last Croissant, by Veronica Tjioe
Nov. 10-18, 2017
The Last Croissant takes place at a campsite in the redwoods of northern California. Here we find a charming park ranger, a couple of bird-watching empty-nesters, a fortune-cookie writer, a bear, and our campground hosts Mumbo and Jumbo. Different reasons brought each of them to the forest, but one thing connects them: they've all been saving something they didn’t enjoy soon enough. Whether fleeing loneliness, the ever-nearing forest fires, or mysterious floating paper cranes, all of them are taking a moment to think whether they could or should have done something differently. The Last Croissant embodies what has been dubbed playwright Veronica Tjioe’s distinctive “clown tragedy” aesthetic. An experiment in minimalism and magical realism.
Many Hats Theatre is fiscally sponsored by Shunpike, and is partially funded by the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
