The Last Croissant, by Veronica Tjioe
The Last Croissant takes place at a campsite in the redwoods of northern California. Here we find a charming park ranger, a couple of bird-watching empty-nesters, a fortune-cookie writer, a bear, and our campground hosts Mumbo and Jumbo. Different reasons brought each of them to the forest, but one thing connects them: they've all been saving something they didn’t enjoy soon enough. Whether fleeing loneliness, the ever-nearing forest fires, or mysterious floating paper cranes, all of them are taking a moment to think whether they could or should have done something differently. The Last Croissant was produced by Many Hats Theatre at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in Seattle, 2017.
